Start with the thread, not the length
Most buyers measure the finger first and check the thread last. That order is what causes returns. Thread interfaces are the one dimension where a near miss does not work at all: an M8 insert will not accept an M6 screw, no matter how close the shaft length looks.
Across the range we currently record four distinct connections:
- M6 female internal thread — used by our CF-04.
- M8 female thread — used by CF-04-2.
- M12 male screw — used by CF-03 (M12 × 1.75) and CF-03-2 (M12 male).
- ST4 × 10 mm screw — recorded for CF-07.
For several other models the connection is still to be confirmed. If your machine takes something not listed above, send us the thread measurement rather than assuming one of these will suit.
CF-04 and CF-04-2 are not interchangeable
Both have a 5 mm shaft and both carry a marked shaft dimension of 310 mm. The connection is what separates them: CF-04 is M6, CF-04-2 is M8. Order by shaft diameter alone and you will receive a part that physically cannot be mounted.
The four numbers to confirm before ordering
- Machine brand and model. Brand narrows the field; the model decides it. Where we only have the brand confirmed by the customer, our table marks it as such rather than claiming fit.
- Shaft diameter. Our current range covers 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm rods. Measure the shaft itself, not the plastic cover.
- Overall length. Be aware that a number stamped on the shaft is often not the total assembly length — see the note below.
- Thread size and gender. Male screw vs female insert, and the pitch where it applies. This is the item we ask you to photograph if it is not legible.
What a stamped number means
On CF-04 and CF-04-2 the 310 mm figure is a marked shaft dimension, not the total assembly length. Total assembly length for CF-04 is still to be confirmed. If your old part measures 310 mm end to end, do not assume these are the part you need — send us the measurement and we will confirm.
